Then it was downtown for a great Russian lesson with Lera, and downtown getting ready for RNC.
Back home, we grilled out.
Tonight our son Allen, his wife Sarah, and her parents are coming over for a picnic.
I cleaned in the house, including both bathrooms, and the rec room.
After my turn,I watered flowers and then took Mini out for a run.
In the evening Allen and Sarah arrived with her parents Becky and Brad, and we had the picnic. (N.B.: the grille chef was quite hot, at 308K outside!)
They admired the rec room and garage upgrades.
A good, busy day!
I trained chest and arms at the gym, and had a Russian lesson with Lera at Troubadours.
I rested, studied, and recovered.
For the first time, Sharon,Babe, and I went on a walk.
I studied for and had a Russian with Lera at Troubadours.
In the evening, Sharon and I went to a 40th anniversary celebration for our friends Gary and Marcy Uhl.
It was at the Speakeasy on W25 – great location.
I trained back and triceps at the gym, and then had a Russian lesson with Lera at Troubadours.
I took Babe for an afternoon stroll, and then Sharon and I went down to Playhouse Square, where we had dinner with Allen, Sarah, and her folks, before heading over to the State theatre to view Andy’s “Phantom of the Opera”.
Our contractor Paul Sedar came over and we installed the new bike lifts in the garage.
I studied for my Russian lesson on Friday.
We had a dance lesson with Julie: foxtrot, rumba, mambo, and night club two step!
Supper was leftovers.
I trained legs and shoulders at the gym, and then had a Russian lesson: not from Daniil, but from his very beautiful and gifted friend – Lera -who is studying to be a teacher.
(The sunglasses mask her very beautiful eyes…)
We grilled out, and I had the dishes done right after supper.
I trained chest, biceps, abdoms and calves at the gym, made a smoothie at home, and then Katie arrived for great Yoga.
We ate at Danny Boy’s in River, and stopped for dessert at Mitchell’s in Westlake.
I met Daniil at Starbucks in Fairview for a Russian lesson, and then Sharon and I went downtown to:
o See the new Public Square.
o See the Indians – Tigers game
o Enjoy the fireworks afterward.
Rain put a damper on all 3: we left at 8pm, and watched the game on the telly.
