Thursday 23 July 2015: a trip in Rhoda thru the flatlands of the ‘midwest’

After brunch at Perkins, we drove down SR83 into Holmes county – Ohio Amish country.

In October of 2014 we had driven to upstate New York,, and were thrilled with the scenery.  The roads on this trip – less than two hours from home – were almost as beautiful.  The hills were not as high, and there was less water, but the roads as twisty: a great day to have the hood down.

(The best scenes were impossible to photograph, as I was at the wheel.)  We made few stops, and ate at an Amish style restaurant.  Averaged 37.1 mpg for the trip down, and 36.2 for the entire trip.
