After breakfast in our hotel, we drove to cherry valley, where we saw the museum. (Cherry Valley was the site of a vicious massacre during the war for independence, and the museum contains artefacts of many generations.)

We then drove through beautiful country to Herkimer NY, where we had lunch by the Mohawk river.

We then drove on to the Herkimer homestead.

Nick Herkimer was a Rev. War General.

We then drove back to our hotel, through beautiful country side, with hills, curves, and changing leaves.
what a pretty and interesting journey
