I trained at the gym – legs and shoulders, and then went home, where I waited for the cable guys while I washed, cleaned, and waxed Mini.
I was hoping to get it ready for our locobrits (Lorain County British Car Club) meeting, but the sky was darkening, and I ran into a problem with the door handle.
Ed Mayer graciously came over, and rescued me on the latter, and the skys cleared.
I made some calls for Senior Voice, and then off to the meeting, at Bullfrogs, in North Ridgeville.
Many members appreciated our efforts.
Back home, I studied Russian.
BTW, the cable guys NEVER showed up!
At the gym, it was back and triceps emphasis, and then Sharon and I went to Lakeside Glass in Lorain, where we picked out things for our new shower.
We had lunch at Sorrento‘s, and then came home.
Much Progress was made on the bathroom.
I went to the 9th annual Lorain County Chairman‘s Banquet, where Ed Fitzgerald gave a good speech, and rewards were given to several long time activists. (It is heart warming to read their stories).
When that was over, I headed over to the Avon Ballroom, where I was able to catch the end of the Friday Party, and have a few dances.
When we left off last night, we had dinner at the Capital Grille – http://southflorida.menupages.com/restaurants/the-capital-grille-3/
Today – Saturday – we had breakfast at our hotel, then I had a work out in the exercise room, and sat out at the pool.
Sharon and I travelled down A1A, checking out the real estate options, and stopping for lunch at Cuchina Delle Arte in Palm Beach – www,cucinadellarte.com. Upon further review, we had happened upon a place where billionaries rub elbows with twenty somethings, leaving us with the role of increasing the diversity.
We four dinned at pistache – http://www.pistachewpb.com/

As we claimed our car from valet, there was a Tesla parked outside: http://www.teslamotors.com/
Vacation or not, I exercised, and studied Russian and Physics.
We ate breakfast at IHOP, and then went to the Lorain County Board of Elections and voted – including a vote for me for precinct 2-B committee person.
Headed over to Kiedrowski’s world famous bakery in Amherst, where we bought one of their snoogles (TM).
I took a slice of snoogle to our dance lesson, and gave it to our instructor – Anya Khan, who loved it.
Raced away from the lesson to Cleveland Hopkins International, where I met and picked up our speaker for Wednesday, Katherine Stewart.
She was thrilled to have transportation, loved the MINI Cooper S Convertible (top down), and also the snoogle I had for her in the glove box. I dropped her at her cousin’s in Pepper Pike, and then, on the way home, I stopped at a place Well Known to Me, where I gave a friend her first snoogle (and she is from Amherst!)
We went to dinner at Carraba’s, in Westlake.
After lunch I went to the Lorain County Democratic Headquarters, to phone bank on issue 2(Vote no!)
We had a dancing lesson at Avon Ballroom with Anya: she taught us a new foxtrot pattern.
It was off to our son Allen and his wife Sarah’s house in Rocky River, where we admire their new kitten, and watched it play with their other cat.
We had an elegant dinner at Fahrenheit, in Trendy Tremont.
Sharon had a hair appointment with Kim at Head Quarters Salon at 2:15, and after it we went to the Lorain County Board of Elections, where she voted (early). We then went on a cruise, looking for Fall Foliage, not seeing much. We stopped in Vermilion, and had a cup at the Main Street Grille (above).
Back home, we had a dance lesson (foxtrot, rumba, and swing) with Anya at the Avon Ballroom, and, after a quick meal, I went to the Avon Lake Democrats meeting.
Ended the day watching the Daily Show: the guest was Walter Isaacson, whose biography of Einstein I liked, and whose biography of Steve Jobs I downloaded onto my iPad (how fitting!)
We also watched the President on the Leno Show – he was great!
