I had a Russian lesson with Daniil at Peet’s at Avon Commons.
Then I went across town to my Alma Mater, where in the Alumni Office in Tomlinson Hall, I worked on the 50th reunion of our class of 1964.
We had dance lesson, and then supper at the Avon Bob Evans – not a prime experience – as my expectation is that I should be able to point to a picture on the menu and be served same…
At the gym, I set a personal best in shrug: 6 x 45 lb wts + 2 x 25 lb + 11 lb(net) bar =331 lbs.
We ate lunch at Grilled here in town – good – then shopped at Target.
It was off to dinner at Don’s Lighthouse
and then to a great concert at Severance.
The Cleveland Orchestra
Leon Fleisher, conductor
Jonathan Biss, piano
MENDELSSOHN – Overture: The Hebrides
BEETHOVEN – Piano Concerto No. 2
BEETHOVEN – Piano Concerto No. 3
I began the day at the gym: legs and shoulders, primary.
Then it was off to our weekly lunch, where we planned grassroots activity for 2014.
Our 2013 VW needed maintenance, so I took it Ganley, who also did the detailing.
I walked to a neighborhood Starbucks, where I studied Russian (mostly verbs), mathematical physics (Hamiltonians), Quantum mechanics (superposition), and political philosophy (not grassroots).
Back home, we ate at Jakes, and I organized in the garage. (Having made many up and down the stairs trips with this effort, and having walked a mile round trip to Starbucks, I did not ride my stationary cycle).
I made popcorn.
Bridging the Cuyahoga
We had breakfast at Athena, and mailed the invites for our party.
We went over to the Cleveland Greenhouse, and admired the sights.
We had lunch at maxii’s on Mayfield
in little italy
A good dance lesson, and then I went to a political meeting.
A good day
we were here in April 2013
I had a Russian with Daniil at Troubadours in Fairview, and then trained at the gym.
We shopped at Best Buy, had coffee at Peet’s, and shopped at Heinen’s.
Dinner was left overs, and we did the invitations for our party.
I rode my bike for 20 minutes.
Valerie, Sharon, Sharon, Laila, luggage, and I loaded into our VW and drove to Columbus. Slow traffic at times.
We had lunch at a place in their neighborhood – Crest.
Back home with no real problems, although on the South bound side of I-71, there was often a river of lights.
The diversity of our state is obvious on this trip: lakefront mansions; upscale suburban and exurban new homes; rolling hills; rivers; level farm land; rolling farm land; Amish horse drawn vehicles; urban gentrification; Interstates; and back country roads.
I did 4 exercises on Rosetta Stone, then I had a Russian lesson with Daniil at Peet’s,.
Read and watched football, and then studied more.
I ate thanksgiving leftovers for breakfast and lunch.
Did some reading, and focused on the task of viewing college football, beginning with OSU-UofM , continuing a tradition dating back to 1952 (then on radio).
OSU won a thriller. We then watched the Auburn-Alabama game, which featured that incredible ending – in our favor.
Valerie went over to see a friend, and I ate soup for supper.
A few more games watched, and a day with much rest, some learning, little exercise, and much football entertainment.
I went to the gym, where I trained back and tris primary.
Then it was off to a Russian Lesson, with Daniil at Troubadours.
I went to our bank, where I did some transactions, and then off to Peet’s, where I studied.
Sharon and Valerie shopped all day.
Sharon, Valerie, and I ate at Parkers in Avon Lake – a nice experience - http://www.parkersgrilleandtavern.com/
After sufficient alcohol consumption, this is the view of our back yard.
Up early – and played with my Apple TV – Netflicks trial.
I studied, and watched games on TV.
Allen and Sarah came over, and we had wine and supper.
Allen showed us pictures of his trip to Italy, using his iPad and our Apple TV.

While most of the plates, saucers, silverware, and serving dishes went into the dishwasher, I spend nearly two hours cleaning all of the cooking dishes!
Studied Russian, and crashed.
