Memorial Day- 28 May 2012

In preparation for (son) Allen and his wife Sarah coming over.  I vacuumed, dusted, org in shop, basement office, and cleaned in the bathrooms.

We grilled out, and watched the Tribe victory as we ate our steaks.

I cleaned up afterward, studied some Russian, and then rode my bike 60 min  for a record 16.8 mi.

Sunday 27 May 2012: tv, and exercise

Most of the day was rest as I watched the Monaco GP, the Indy 500, and some of the NASCAR some 600 mile races.

(At one time when I watched the 500 I would see some drivers I had met in SCCA – now they own/run teams – Ganassi and Michael Andretti.)

Not all play, as I moved files from guest room to utility room  – milestone: the guest room has no more misc storage!

I did some Russian (now on level 2 in Rosetta Stone), and biked one hour.

Sunday the 20th of May: Brunching and organizing

I studied Russian (Rosetta Stone), and then we had brunch at Houlihans.

We then worked in the utility room, filling five bags with trash, and improving the navigation lanes.

Down at the ‘revco’, Sarah ran the 1/2 marathon, and Allen his first 10 k at 53 min.

Valerie took her third first on her horse ‘ lamby’ this weekend (dressage).

Sat 19 May 2012: From Subway to Severance

We had lunch at subway, and then bought bird stuff and soil stuff at the Rock pile on the other side of the tracks in Avon.

I continued to work on organizing in the basement – a light at the end of a tunnel!

We heard from daughter Valerie that she had taken two firsts on her horse.
Dinner was at Don’s Lighthouse, and then we drove (15 minutes ) to see Salome at Severance – an opera in concert.
